Barbara, I feel exactly as you do about the environmental disaster in Ohio. They cover it on the channel I watch, and it's so hard to watch. I can't even read the articles you forwarded.....too intense for me; but, thanks just the same. I understand how you feel about the man cutting down all those pine trees. Disgusting! Sending love and positive energy.

I know, hon. It's hard to watch. I don't watch the news and only take in a limited amount of stuff like this. Enough to know, and then I go walk in the woods. Big Love back to you! xoxo

I want to thank you for speaking from the heart about the cutting down of the pine trees. I feel the same pain thinking about how they are chopping down ancient pines in Algonquin Provincial Park (for profit) north of where we live but I cannot imagine how hard it would be hearing the machines.

Perhaps the trees are being chopped down for something along the same lines as this project ? https://dgrnewsservice.org/civilization/ecocide/habitat-loss/biomass-firms-tell-bright-green-lies/?fbclid=IwAR09hMctwuTvnQIu9x7RvyRRowJDVfJhIDupadp5LfxgOoAwUXLB9X_QH-Q

Also, have you read a book called "Bright Green Lies" ?

Gavin, my friend (who lives right down the road from him) has suspected that (a biomass operation) from the start but having a hard time proving it. He and the town are very sneaky about the whole thing. I just ordered "Bright Green Lies." Oh man, I could go on and on about how the environmental movement has lost its way. People here in this town and their environmental committee - only focused on electric cars and solar panels while in complete denial about geoengineering, etc.

Have you ever read "To Speak for the Trees" by Diana Beresford Kroeger? She grew up in Ireland but lives in Canada now, and I'm pretty sure she mentions the Algonquin old-growth forest. I think she lives around there. The audiobook is wonderful, too. There's also the documentary "Call of the Forest" with her. I'm guessing you've seen it. http://calloftheforest.ca/ I just adore her and would love to meet her one day.

On another note, I picked up the seeds today! Thank you again, Gavin! I will treat them with TLC. 💚

I like this post, so don't feel you're doing too much, it's good stuff.

I agree, and I like the idea of having Open Hearts... maybe we ought to pick a day once a week, once a month, and a time, and coordinate? Or just do as we will... It's all good, as they say.

And yeah, have you noticed how so many things are programmed into kids by using CANDY? It's rather horrifying, actually. But that said, I might have to go eat some chocolate, all because of you. HA HA, no, just kidding. But I did enjoy this post! Not the slaughter of 200K pine trees, tho... I cry when I see trees cut down.

Thanks, Jaan. Yeah...candy and cereal! Even Fentanyl in candy. :( Oy, what a world. I hope you had some chocolate and savored every bite. The Pine trees...when I drive by I try to open my heart rather than go into rage. It's just so senseless. xoxo

I wonder if rage is opening your heart? If every feeling/emotion is your body loving you, taking care of you. Taking care of us, our home. Splitting open in pain and love.

Thank you for the shout out my friend! :)

Please share the link below with anyone you know that is living within a few hundred miles of where that train dumped all those chemicals (and then they were lit on fire). I gathered some pertinent data, actionable intel and info on proactive solutions (for detox and soil remediation).

Noticed Pine Needle Tea on the list. I've been drinking Pine Needle infusion all winter. Just made a fresh 1/2 gallon jar of it. And, slathering on the oil, as well. I just went for a clear-my-head walk in the woods (I could hear the tree-clearing going on :() and there are so many downed Pine branches right now. Talk about free medicine! 🌲🌲🌲

I also came across this article that offers some more info on detoxing the other chemicals that were dispersed in Ohio here https://denutrients.substack.com/p/vinyl-chloride-hydrochloric-acid

Yes, our wise elder that is the White Pine offers powerful medicine, nourishing food and ancient wisdom. I admire your choosing to see the abundance of needles as a gift and transmute that which is painful into that which is life affirming, this is a powerful kind of magic indeed. I do the same at the landscaping jobs I work in the summer when customers ask to take branches off :) I am so glad you connect with the land and nourish your self by enjoying pine needles infusions.

I was hoping you would pop in with an article so I wouldn't have to write one!! Thank you! I have so many White Pines here. They are such a gift. I'm always talking to them, though, during wind storms because they line my driveway right by my little house/car!

I may write a post about it some time but here's a quickie: find some Pine trees in your area (if you're near the woods, it's good to go out after a wind storm so you can pick up the branches from the ground rather than taking from the trees.) Make sure you identify the Pine tree to see if it's edible. I pretty much use White Pine and Hemlock because I have a lot of them in the woods here. I take shears and cut up both the needles and the stems into tiny pieces. You don't need to be too fussy about this. Fill either a quart or 1/2 gallon Mason jar halfway with the Pine. Boil water (spring is best!) and pour over the needles/twigs. Stir well and fill to the top. Cap and set aside (DON'T SHAKE) for as long as you want. I usually let it sit for about 24 hours. Sometimes longer. You can strain it or leave the needles in. Sometimes I add other plants to the infusion, like Hawthorn berries, Elderberries, Mullein, etc. You can refrigerate it, but if it's just Pine, it's really not necessary. Drink cool or heat it and add honey or lemon or whatever your plant-loving heart desires! 💚

I am thinking of organizing a collective meditation in next couple weeks. If anyone else is interested, feel free to email me info@romanshapoval.com

Even though that man was cutting down those trees, our hearts are open, and we can use our intentional energy for sure, which is sharper than a chainsaw.

Thank you so much Barbara for sharing my article!

Yes, we surely can, Roman, and I do that every time I drive by the site, rather than let anger get the best of me. The trees may be gone, but the energy of the forest is still there.

You're welcome! It was a good one. And thx for letting us know about the meditation. :)

It is true that heart energy is most powerful (Heart Math), and intentional heart energy even more so. Bearing witness in these turbulent times can be painful, so harnessing that heart power is an act both of courage and rebellion. To focus on one person or family in a tragic circumstance, even not knowing them at all, raises their frequency with your love / care / compassion, enabling them to more easily be a beacon for those around them. Thank you Barbara for sharing this difficult news, and your antidote of beauty for it.

This post touched my heart. 💗 I'm new to your column from Dear Frances. :) My heart aches for the toll our decisions are taking on so many species, especially with the rapid proliferation of cell towers, antennas, and satellites all over their habitats. I will join you in sending love energy outwards, for nature and for all. 💗

Thank you, Melissa! Frances is such a dear heart and I can feel yours as well in this comment. 💗

I feel the same way about the towers, etc. and those damn chemtrails, too. :( The plants and animals are powerless from what man has unleashed on them. The woods behind my house have been so silent lately. I know it's winter but I'm not seeing ANY wildlife. not even a sparrow or a chickadee. Yesterday I was headed into the woods when I heard an owl hooting across the road in the Audubon preserve. I stood there for the longest time while he or she hooted. It was music to my ears. It was like he was saying "It's ok, some of us are still here." Thanks for leaving your beautiful comment. 💗
