Ok, so I feel like I’ve tricked you with this photograph.
I didn’t even realize today was Valentine’s Day until my daughter sent me a text this morning. I never know the date anymore. I kind of love that.
I’m really not a fan of this hugely Hallmark-style holiday. Admittedly, I liked it as a child when we would put our Valentines into those boxes in school and then see who “liked us.” As an adult, I can see just how wrong this was on so many levels.
But there was always candy involved.
Honestly, the farthest thing from my mind this morning was posting anything about Valentine’s Day. Or love.
And then I got a barrage of emails about some serious things happening in our world, and I could feel my heart hurting.
Especially what’s happening in Ohio.
I’m going to share these articles with you. They’re all long and meaty, and I know they’ll take time to read. I hope, at some point, you can make the time to check them out. And share them if you agree with what’s written.
But first, I want to say a few things.
Thank you from my heart to yours for letting me into your inbox. ❤️ I try not to crowd it, but I know I’ve been sending a lot lately.
I was texting with a friend this morning, and we agreed that we were going to open our hearts today and send that energy to the people affected by the atrocity in Ohio.
And then, I got to thinking (the reason for this email) just how powerful it is when massive numbers of people open their hearts and send that Love out into the Universe.
You can call it prayer, good vibes, or whatever you choose.
We humans are powerful electrical beings. The energy field of someone in a state of Love is beyond our comprehension. You feel it, don’t you, when someone walks into a room?
It’s the polar opposite of fear. Let’s stay out of fear.
The human-created environmental disasters are sometimes too heavy a burden to bear. Who among us doesn’t love this Earth?
Here, in my little corner of the world, for several months, a man who lives a few miles down the road decided to cut down around 200,000 Pine trees. It’s his property, so…
First, there were rumors of him doing it to have a meadow and to see the mountains. Then we heard about a composting business. Rumors of a biofuel operation. When nearby residents objected, the rumor changed to nothing more than a hayfield. No one seems to be able to get a straight answer.
For months on end, when I’m in the woods, I can hear the drone of the machinery. My friend lives just down the road from him, and it’s been a living hell for her and her family.
200,000 Pine trees. My brain just can’t handle it.
But, mostly, it’s my heart that can’t handle it.
The ongoing assault on Nature is doing us in. This is just one man’s “project.” The damage that corporations cause is unconscionable.
It has to stop.
The recent train derailment and chemical implosion in Ohio hit me hard. I don’t watch the mainstream news, but from what I’ve heard, it’s barely being covered. It’s taken over a week for there to be much coverage at all.
This is an environmental disaster of epic proportions, and our government is silent.
Beyond the poor people living in the vicinity of the implosion/explosion, all I can think about is the water. And the air. And the earth. The plants. The animals.
You know how I dream about drinking from a river again? Well, no one will be drinking from the Ohio River, that’s for sure.
So, if ever there was a time to harness our heart energy, it’s now.
Even if just for five minutes, maybe we can all send out our ❤️ energy not just to the humans but to the plants and animals who are suffering, as well.
On this day, that’s supposedly about the heart.
One last thing.
I want to send out heart energy and gratitude to the writers of these articles. It takes a lot of work to write and share this kind of information. It would be so much easier for them to just bury their heads in the sand and let every one of us figure things out on our own.
If you like what they’ve written, maybe you can follow them on Substack. We’re lucky that we’re still able to share such controversial information.
Much Love,
Barbara

PLEASE NOTE: This is an edit to my original publication of this post. I wanted to add this important information shared with me in a comment by Gavin Mounsey from
.Please share the link below with anyone you know that is living within a few hundred miles of where that train dumped all those chemicals (and then they were lit on fire). I gathered some pertinent data, actionable intel and info on proactive solutions (for detox and soil remediation).

And also from Gavin Mounsey at
a fellow Nature-lover with an incredible heart.Last but not least, a valuable article on EMF exposure that’s easy enough for non-science folks like myself to (sort of) understand.
Thank you for the shout out my friend! :)

I am thinking of organizing a collective meditation in next couple weeks. If anyone else is interested, feel free to email me info@romanshapoval.com
Even though that man was cutting down those trees, our hearts are open, and we can use our intentional energy for sure, which is sharper than a chainsaw.
Thank you so much Barbara for sharing my article!
