Sweet as usual, Barbara. And you are special, so don't ever doubt that. Just as I was reading about the woodpecker, one started pecking a tree right outside me window (you'll never convince me animals don't speak to us or have messages for us!)
I have dozens of feathers, rocks, pinecones, special leaves, sticks, etc.! I'm sure some people think it ridiculous, but I can't help saving these little messages from nature.
Thanks for the inspiration, Barbara. There's nothing better than being in the woods!
Thank you, dear Tina. Woodpecker medicine for you and for me! "A bird connected to the heartbeat of the Earth itself." I imagine you felt at home when you walked into my little house - stones and sticks and feathers and all. Another Nature-Speak friend. 💚 I love the woods so much. And, I know that bugs serve their purpose, but oy, those ticks and biting flies! :( xoxo

This is so delicious! Every creature is a messenger when you’re willing to learn how to see in the dark (thank you Clarissa pinkola Estes for the reminder). Last fall, as we moved into the camper, our only neighbors were a flock of turkeys. They left a feather for me, too. What a gift!
I hope you know how much I love this. Wouldn’t it be lovely to take a stroll through the woods together to gasp at tree-clenched mossy rocks? 💙💫
I love that you loved it, Amanda! You're a Nature-Speaker. :) Yes to Clarissa Pinkola Estes - oh how I love her! And yes, how much fun would that be? You're always welcome. I'm sure the turkeys would welcome you with open arms! 💚
I remember driving in the car with my 12 year old. In the middle of the road I saw a feather. I jumped out of the car and excitedly picked up the eagle feather. I got in the car and told my son, "what I gift I was given...this feather is spectacular." MY son said, "I know how you think, mother." Ha, kids are so funny. I said to him something like this....no one knows everything, there is much to still explore and unveil, why not believe what makes us most happy? I believe in magic, even if it is unexplained science.
I love this so much! I can just hear your son saying that. :) I have a niece who was a "believer." We had so many wonderful adventures together. And then, she stopped believing. Pretty typical in our 3D world. Science schmience. :) Thx for reading! xo
Your stories and musings about nature are very uplifting. How nice to be able to befriend a tree, or a turkey! What's not to like about that happening. Love your ode to the Solstice!
Just LOVE everything about this..I certainly believe in the unseen. There is more of that than there is SEEN. I'm just numb currently. Not for too much longer though 🥰 I hope whatever happened Monday is much better now. Xoxoxoxo

Take good care, my friend.

Thx, sweet pea! Love you! May the numbness wear off soon. 💗
Of COURSE you were sitting on your stoop, watching turkeys and playing the flute. Where else would you be? :-)
This post lifted me up a whole level. Thank you, Barbara. Happy Solstice!
