I've only now - just this morning - discovered your stack and can't believe it's taken me this long.

What an absolute delight! Both in text and images. Your love for the place you've landed evokes a wellspring of gratitude - for you, for the land and all your friends (trees are some of my closest friends too, rocks as well) and for your readers who get this vicarious feast.

Reading this I thought of Kathleen Norris' book, Dakota, very much about the land and how that shapes us. I was also reminded of my 14 months living in an Arizona desert, where something fully new in me was tapped. I never forgot how specific to that place, this creative burst, found expression.

So, so wise and beautiful. I'm so happy to have been directed here. Nourishing.

Very best to you. Thank you for this gorgeous glimpse.

And yes! I've heard that sound of cracking ice.

So timely, Barbara… as the whole family just came to the conclusion that West Michigan isn’t feeling like home. Time to move again, thank you for your wise words and inspiration 💛. Hoping to finally find my special place this time too…

Just beautiful Barbara, and timely for me… as a fellow earth sun(Virgo to your Taurus) a sense of place has always resonated with me. We have lived in the desert for the last 14 years and though I found it barren and ugly when arriving, it’s shy beauty has grown on/with me. We are looking to relocate this summer and I see my bare feet connecting with the earth on our new property, but cannot see where yet. I’m hoping spirit will show me the way it showed you to your New Hampshire haven.✨💛thank you~Kelly(Crone group)

I want to thank you for everything you share . I enjoy listening to your calming voice and my husband always asks to look at your wonderful photographs.

I feel that I have learnt so much from your writing in the past year. I am blessed to have found writing that resonates with me in a way I have not felt before. I'm not sure if it's rediscovering my inner child or something else but I feel an inner calm that is quite unfamiliar. Thank you for helping me find new perspective.

Thank you Barbara for sharing some well timed forest magic! Hope you get to enjoy plenty more snow 💚

Barbara, you’re such an enchanting writer. I was captivated. I love how you are held so well in your little mountain/pond/forest hamlet, and that you hold so much space for that special place, too. I loved how you reminded that the place that feels like home can change many times in a single life. Thank you for sharing your wisdom!

These photos are simply unreal. To be able to view those visions with real eyes!!! Ugh❤❤❤❤❤. I love this post!!!! Thank you for sharing with us and I am ALWAYS waiting for the email to pop up with a new share🤭🤗🤗🤗🤗 xoxo. I love you!! P.s. my husband said that was the ice settling that made that noise. He said he has been ice fishing ( Lake St. Clair) and it has shook him its so strong.
