You reside in a very lovely peaceful spot...hang on tight. I do not know ash trees but I was once was in love with a huge chestnut tree in our backyard. It was massive and I climbed it often and sat in the crook and read or drew pictures. When the spiky chestnuts fell to the ground I gathered them and eagerly removed the beautiful shiny red chestnuts from within...which I proceeded to string into necklaces. One year when I was 7 or so my father cut a huge section of the tree down because of the "mess" it made. I literally flipped out, crying and screaming, "you are killing it!" I had never acted like before (or since), but this tree was my friend and the hurt felt bottomless. I can still hear my mother telling my father that she was worried that I was crazy. Ha. Still am. Thanks for the story and visit to your special place.
Thank you, Leanna! So, you know way more about the Ash trees than I do. Ugh about the Emerald Ash Borer. I guess they have to eat too. Or do whatever it is they do. :( I'm going to send them so much love and as soon as the mosquitos stop munching on me I'll spend more time with them. 💗
Thank you for reading, luv, and for always leaving such heartfelt comments. I wrote a poem about that river once. It is so special. Love you! 🌳💗💗
Agree, this was a lovely piece of 'riting'---i have always known that the ash was a druid tree---think maybe i will investigate that thought more. glad to see you are back and happy---bugs are mostly gone and fall is here, my fav. season. yours too, right?
Hi Jeanne! I think you would love the book I mentioned - "Tree Medicine Tree Magic." This was the weirdest summer I can remember. Still wet and muggy here but not so hot anymore. Mosquitos are having a field day but at least they're slow and the bites aren't as bad. Winter has tied with fall for me lately, but yes, I LOVE fall and will be watching the Ash trees closely to see how they change. Big hugs and thx for reading! 🌳xoxo
I didn’t know how special they are! Thank you for the honor! 🌳
I can’t believe I missed this post earlier, but this evening was the perfect time to read it. This is so beautiful and deeply meaningful. 💙
Who knew the Ash tree was so special? Glad you found the post, Amanda, and now I'll think of you when I look out of my windows. 🌳 xoxo

Oh my, what a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing it. The Tree knew you weren't crazy, and you can bet she loved spending time with you. 🌳💚
I enjoyed reading your newsletter so much! In 7th grade I had to do a school report on the Emerald Ash Borer.
