Dear Barbara, something came into my inbox today and I immediately thought of you. I don't know whether you have come across DailyOM (dailyom.com)? They have many small courses on many subjects (not expensive and helpfully sliding-scale) and the one they were bringing my attention to is called 'The 2-Week Fascia Miracle' by Erin Tietz. Quoting: "Fascia stretching is one of the most effective low-impact exercises to develop foundational strength and circulation. Join medical exercise specialist Erin Tietz and learn how to wake up feeling more vibrant and ready to meet the physical demands of the day". You can read about the course and the interview with Erin there and how she healed her physical issues from head to toe through this special gentle stretching quite unlike other stretching. I had a light bulb moment and thought, ah, maybe Barbara would find this helpful. If not, please just discard. 💕

P.S. I just bought the course and also one on the Vagus Nerve, which I think might have been involved in this injury. Thanks, again, Clair!! xoxo

I'm so pleased! Hopefully you'll be on your way to pain free, yay!

And yes, thank you I've had a good weekend, and took a really vigorous long walk today on quite a large common near me with lots of trees (I'm very blessed with that). We're having an incredibly cool July here, and very rainy today xxx

Thank you, dear Clair! I used to subscribe to DailyOM many years ago. And I did a lot of fascia work when I had all that chronic pain. So, thank you for the reminder and I will have a look at it. When someone else is hurting, I seem to be able to have lots of good healing suggestions but when something happens to me, it all goes out the window! :) So, thank you.

Btw, the name Clair is very important to me. I almost named my daughter Claire. And it has come up in past life regression! So interesting.

Hope you had a good weekend and thx again! xoxo B

I so know what you mean, Barbara, about not being able to know what you need when you're hurting! I think it's because we are so inside the experience that we can't take a step back and see with enough clarity at the time. But it struck me that we don't need to spend our crone years (I hit 70 in May, Taurus Sun 28 degrees) in pain and without bodily flexibility, feeling decrepit, god forbid! We can still be leaping about if we choose (or maybe not in all cases, I have to be careful here) but hopefully you know what I mean xxx

I know EXACTLY what you mean! Hard for Vata-types to slow down. :) Even during the Vata time of life. Another Taurean home-lover! xoxo

Thank you for sharing Sister <3

I will get a copy of the book you referenced.

I am sending you healing energy and would like to share a few video clips I have recorded of flowing water over the years in the hopes they can add some of the powerful medicine they provided me in the form of sound (and visual medicine, though my old cameras were pretty rough and the footage is shaky so forgive the low resolution compared to today's material).

1. "the river meditation spot" (on the Okanagan River, BC, Canada) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3dLDDa3MQg

2. "the living waters of the clayoquot sound" (taken in the old growth forest on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kkloe7s72Q0

3. "exploring a forest stream in Algonquin" (taken in Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlsncV8v6P4

4. "Greeting the morning light in Gunners Cove, Newfoundland" (taken in a protected bay where a babbling brook enters the ocean on the northern tip of Newfoundland, Canada) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqpbf5JpqTM

(I also recorded some footage of the mountain streams on my recent trip out west this summer and can upload that some other time if you are interested)

I hope you enjoy the auditory and visual medicine of the water and I am holding the vision of you finding a swift path to healing.

Dear Gavin, You have no idea how much this touched my heart. That you read the post. Or listened to it. And then took the time to leave me this message. That you took the time to share those videos. Water medicine. I know how busy you are. I am always so grateful when someone leaves me a message if my writing has touched them in some way.

I'm experiencing so many lessons, synchronicities, etc. during this latest healing journey. My neck is much better, thank you, but still needing my attention and I'm listening and spending a lot of just BEing time. Going to head to the river this afternoon if I get my chores done. Our hot humid weather has finally broken. Hooray for that. It has been a brutal summer. So much planned weirdness as I'm sure you're experiencing there, as well.

Watching your videos made me go searching and I found a video of the Saskawhihiwine River that I spoke about in the post. I wish I could figure out how to share it here but IDK how. Anyway, that sound is truly one of my favorite sounds in this whole wide beautiful world.

Thank you, my dear friend! I hope all is well with you and yours. 💦💙

Barbara!

We were rivering at the same time. I'm pretty sure that they intersect. Thank you for sharing your deep insight. We are in the same sacred region... so much beauty and richness. So much to always tend to and inhabit into our healing spirits and to share with others.

The Bear Sisters need to go to the river, lake, or fields to play, sing, and pray.

♥️

Thanks for your offering.

Such an earthy chart, no wonder your evolutionary process is so deeply steeped in plants, their innate fluidity and water elemental. Such a beautiful sharing of your journey in ways that reach in and take hold of the heart and remind us of our own inherent healing powers. Thank you for all you’re willing to experience. 🙏🏽

Thank you for seeing me, Sasha. I struggle with sharing these stories sometimes because they're so highly personal and I always question myself as to whether the telling of them will benefit anyone else. But, I keep getting those darn nudges. 💚

With your Aries in the 12th house of ‘hidden enemies’ and Libra in the 6th house of service, and given that our collective evolutionary North Node is currently in Aries with South Node in Libra, these themes of seeing self clearly and being of service to others will likely be prominent for the next 18 months or so. Gentle, patient nurturing of self may be particularly beneficial. ☺️

Reading your posts early in the morning sets my day just right. Loved the healing prayer and the song choices too. I will send you some healing energy when I go on my meditation to the Black Sea today. Hope it reaches you via your river. They say all water is connected even if we can’t see it. Mend well, witchy lady.

Thank you Barbara for receiving it in this way, I'm so happy. And I am enchanted by all that you share. I live in a big city and connect with the nature in it as much as possible and it does give me it's wonderful messages too, such as spying Heron standing tall in a tree and inwardly hearing 'Be still and observe', just the other day. The image and message stays with me. Much love to you too ❣️

I think there's a reason some of us who connect with Nature like we do spend part or all of our lives in cities. I lived in NYC for many years and had incredible experiences with the plant and animal spirits while living there. I had hundreds of houseplants and a fire escape filled (illegally!) with plants. It helped me stay grounded. Maybe in some way we're appreciated by the plant and animal kingdom for being kind to them among all the hustle and bustle and concrete. Now, it's not unusual for me to see a Bear just outside my window. And, I will never take that for granted. What a gift seeing that Heron! 💚

Yes it was such a gift from Great Spirit to see Heron right at the moment that I needed that message. I'm a vata type as well and my mind was going a bit nuts at that time! And the image of Heron is kind of emblazoned in my mind, which is tremendously helpful. Also though, how amazing to see Bear at your door! Wow! I guess I won't be expecting that in London anytime soon. But Spirit uses whatever is available to send us so much love and wisdom 🕉️ and show us that we are never really alone. Ah, the Mystery...may your healing proceed apace 🌳

Ah Barbara, I knew we were in for a summer of rest, reset, slowing down. Another bout of Covid stopped me - or rather allowed me to take some quiet time- and I am extending the through my birthday month of August.

The end of May I decided this summer was going to be the summer of nourishing infusions- quart jars filled with simples-

single weeds found in abundance: nettles, milky oats, red clover , Tusli- which has taken over my small potted garden.

Sometimes it takes the physical body shitti g down to get us to sit down.

See, that's the thing, J.R. We should both probably stop apologizing for sharing how we're feeling. It's not easy, especially the physically limiting stuff, when we're trying to stay as healthy as possible. Here's hoping we both heal sooner than later! 💙
