We have SO MUCH to talk about!! xoxo

One more thing---I have never liked red, but will accept pink, especially after I had a series of pink dreams and then read that thing about the female saints having pink in their aura, however my issue is with finding my purpose--won't let that puppy go, so a few days ago read a post by a substacker: Musings on the Mundane, the topic title is Living A Meaningful Life. It was an answer to my fretting--and don't we all have a fret or two or.......

Yeah, ugh on the red. Maybe one day...Interesting about the saints/pink auras. I love that.

I didn't know anything about St. Barbara (I was raised Catholic but left the Church decades ago) and then someone told me that her father locked her in a tower and that the Rapunzel fairytale was based on that story. Guess what one of my favorite fairytales as a child was??

I will check out that post! xoxo

I too, was raised a Catholic; left about the age of......5, maybe lol. could not abide the double standard eg, urging the parishioners to increase the tithing so they could have money for a new bb court and get a class B rating--meanwhile I and my siblings, when we were at school, played softball using a cowpatty as first, second and third base? And then there is my dad who took his kids to mass on Sundays and when I polished his shoes for the trek, turned them over to find a cardboard liner in the holes on each shoe. I believe Charity begins at home.

Yeah, I hear you. So many dark, dirty secrets in that religion.

Hiya, Barbara--

Do you know that I have read this post like about 6-7 times and pondering and here is what I think.......it's what your friend said about pink being a high holy color and that was fairly serendipitous in and of itself (keep that friend around) because long ago I had read that pink was a color of the feminine divine and that females saints had pink often seen in their aura. Yup, sounds hokey but then I can read all kind of nonsense like Trump being good for this country or that Putin is waging war for the good of Russia & Ukraine and u know what? I am on the side of women being a powerful force of nature.

I think you are already doing the pink; sometimes we take spiritual nudges perhaps too literally, although that is usually the way it begins, doesn't it.....this blog, your gorgeous photos, pink art is you doing the book isn't it because you ALREADY ARE manifesting the voice asking you to be you, a spiritual divine feminine in a world which greatly needs that influence. I would say, not to fret because you are in the midst of it all, influencing any one who reads your posts, pink, green whatever the colour you want to post in. I know that I look forward to your writing, the stories, the wondrous photos, the art---maybe at some time it does become a book, but for the time being you are influencing a lot of readers who, like me, need the reinforcement your take on life provides. I could add more but I suspect you are getting the gist of what I intend. You go girl!

Oh my! Thank you, dear Jeanne. That went right to my (high) heart! 💗 Do you know that whenever I feel the need for some extra protection, the bubble I put around myself is PINK! :)

I do love writing here and sharing my stories and photos - they seem so entwined. Believe me, your comment is so appreciated, and I'm grateful to have you here. 💗💗

I love how you boldly post this gorgeous piece of inspired writing alongside those fabulous images, specifically request readers give advice on how to move forward with a project you said out loud you don’t want to do, and then proceed to reject every single ‘helpful’ suggestion offered.

Literally rofl right now. I love Sagittarians so much! (My partner, bff and fav auntie are all Sagies).

It’s so tempting to offer up all sorts of left-brained, super linear ideas about how to get a creative thing done and dusted. (This Aries / Scorpio Ascendant is bursting to make you a list). More lols.

But.

This is not your way.

Freedom is your creed.

Serendipity will always win out over structure.

Even a suggestion from someone else has the potential to become a trap, so, “no thanks” you’ll say.

I do wonder though, what might happen if you asked that ‘pink is everything voice’ some pointed questions? Might be interesting to see what kind of ideas it comes up with.

A fun experiment anyway. 🙂

Sasha, I am SNORTING/laughing right now! 😂😂😂 OMG, I can't stop laughing at your comment. You totally get me.

Yes, The Voice will guide me. Even as I typed those words asking for advice, the Sag in me was second-guessing myself because I've never been able to take anyone else's ideas and apply them to anything creative. I once let someone edit a blog post I wrote. Never again. Let it be too wordy. I don't care, as long as they're my words. 😂

Unfortunately, I had to give away the leather chair because there was no room for it in my wee house. But, I do still have my Pink bike.

And I LOVE your Aries🔥Scorpio💦 energy! The perfect companion for Sagittarians!

Thank you for reading and for this A+ comment! ♐ xo

Maybe you could try just One Page at a time, and not think about it as a "book," but a

Collection

of Pinks.

Think Pink, it won't stink.

Have a drink, on me.

Maybe you have a pink chink in your armor, or armoir?

None of your pink thinks make me blink and look away... I like 'em.

I'm a RED lover, and guess what I like to see, oh, so very much, with Red?

Uh huh. PINK!!!

Expand full comment

Lol, Jaan. :) Just the word "Red" makes me shudder. It's my least favorite color. However, I do love deep, muted reds like claret, burgundy, and earthy reds. Red is the color of the root chakra. Very telling. That's why I was going to subtitle it: The Healing Power of Color. Another long story for another time! Thx for reading! 💗

I've only been here for about a month Barbara, but your extended backyard seems perfect for a place-based, nature-themed fantasy novel! Maybe with some pink fairy protagonists?

HAHAHA! Love it, Isaac. :) Don't get me more confused. But I surely won't be able to forget the idea. I'll have to have a pow-wow with the fairies who live in the woods here. They're pretty opinionated. And they do love Pink. 🧚🧚🧚

While I fancy myself as a bit of a tomboy, I have always loved pink. As for the book... the only thing that comes to mind is start to gather the art, photos and stories that you will include... when you said art book... I thought of something like an eclectic ' coffee table book ' ... something like that. Either way... gathering what you're going to include and ask someone you know what are the steps ( like a business plan) to start the book. Maybe Google " how to start writing a book" .. perhaps they may have a template that can help point you in a direction? I don't have much but I promise I will be buying a few copies... even if it is in another incarnation. Xo your biggest fan 💗 Jamie Lynn

Nice, Barbara! I must have been sensing your pinkness, because I wore a pink scarf yesterday, and I rarely do. Perhaps it was an unconscious connection to what was to come today in your writing. Thank you for sharing, and do write the book. There's too much pinkness and love to let it lie in wait.

I noticed that, MJ, and meant to say something because I'd been working on this post all weekend! I feel like stating it here (writing the book) might light a proverbial fire under my you-know-what! 💗

I get that. There are so many possibilities and words swirling about, waiting patiently for their turn to make it onto the page.

A book on social media does not have to be exclusively written. It could include music, art and memes. If I were you I would use this as your Chapter One in the Pink Book. Let it grow organically but write one chapter a week, published at the same time of the same day each week, so that your readers can know when to look for it. You can build it slowly by using the draft facility and the post scheduling button to ensure that it always appears on schedule.

Thanks for the input, Frances. I feel like a lot of the stories I've already written here are chapters. I remember trying to be regular with posting when I wrote a blog on my website. It stressed me out too much. But it's definitely worth pondering! I've been trying to figure out how to add a separate category at the top of my newsletter. That would be one way to go about it. TY! xo

Pink to me means youthfulness, health and vitality and beauty. I see those playful and meaningful places it’s taken you as an artist and writer as shown in all of the wonderful photos which seem to write their own pink stories. I think, as far as Pink goes, there’s more to come. Love all the visuals and where Pink has taken you so far. A healing journey, a how-to, a starry tale, the possibilities are yours to explore. Whether memoir, poems or prose, Pink is leading the way.

They do love the weather fear porn, don't they? They're actors reading a script, just like the newscasters. Funny how they never mention cloud seeding or those tic-tac-toe stripes in the sky. Have a good day, J.R.!
