Happy Birthday sweet cousin, enjoy your silent snowy day. Living in a 2 bedroom house for 9 people obviously has taught me how to find my own solitude in many of the same places you have, especially snow caves LOL. Oh, how I miss those big snowstorms we used to have here in MI. I'm sending you love n hugs from the Mitten.
I just now was also listening to your voice while looking at the pics and got different things out of it. I love the positive spin on the word crone.
I feel the same about parties, I can't do them! My favourite thing is doing online yoga (Two Birds yoga I recommend her) with my friends (one at a time) not having to speak but being together.
I was very lonely at one time. Its' not a case of who is around I think. I think it's when we abandon ourselves after something has made us feel unloveable.
When we have the loving presence of unconditional love, we are never alone, and it's even much easier to feel the presence in silence and solitude.
Did you know that Crone means "Crown?" Enlightened, wise. Clarissa Pinkola Estes has an audiobook called "The Power of the Crone." Glad you have found yourself again, Jo. xoxo
no I didn't know that! I was reading 'women who run with the wolves' while I was married but it was too poignant and I wasn't ready to do the work. I think I will look into it again now and the power of the crone! x
Lol, I forget, too! :) Today is the 17th here in the US. I'm in New Hampshire. Where are you? A fellow Sag! Happy Early Birthday to you, Truth seeker! xoxo
I'm in WA State, across the Puget Sound from Seattle (thankfully that's a bit of distance). So I guess I got some wires crossed, as it seemed you were saying your birthday is TOMORROW, but the date didn't match... Oh, whatever, LOL. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I very much enjoyed and related to your post. It's not often I come across anyone with the same birthday, or even within a day.
^_^
Cheers, and hope you're having fun and a GREAT coming year to you, and many more. xo
No, I never did. And I didn't appreciate being sent a Christmas card with "Oh, and Happy Birthday, too!" It made me feel quite irritated, lol. My folks were pretty good about making my birthday my birthday and not a part of xmas. So kudos for them!
Thank you Barbara, that was lovely. I'm very much an introvert myself, though the way I "present" myself toothed world would likely suggest otherwise. I so resonate with everything you said. And with each passing year it seems I enjoy being alone more and more. Gatherings with more than three completely zap my energy now, it seems I can't tolerate the noise level or the activity of too many people.
I am restructuring my life and hoping for my yurt in the woods to come to me soon. 🙏❤️
I would still love to come hang out with you sometime. I talk with Robin often. Miss her so much!
This got lost with the power!
Thank you for sharing your insight and solitude.
🙏🏼♥️🙏🏼
Oy, the power! Thanks for reading, Marya. xoxo B

Thank you, Sue! Wow, congrats to you for finding your Solitude surrounded by others. And yes, those MI snowstorms were the BEST! xoxo B
I LOVE YOU BARBARA! You described me perfectly! I feel as if you are speaking to me, saying “There’s nothing wrong with you if you love being alone.”
Society has told us that’s there’s something “wrong” with you if you love being alone. Why?
Maybe society doesn’t like being alone.
I LOVED your commentary!!!! Outta the ball park.
Thank you, Renee, fellow Introvert!! I loved your comment! xoxo B
I am learning to embrace it and am thankful I have you to help show me the way. I love you so Much!
You are dear to me, as well, Robin. Thank you for reading, for commenting, and for being so supportive. I love you back! xoxo
Oh I am one of the Solitude lovers. That's when I really feel like myself. Happy Birthday! 🎉
Thank you, fellow Solitude-lover! :)
Happy birthday my Favorite!!! 💝🤎❤ xoxo!!!
Thank you, Jamie! xoxoxo
Love ♥️
Thx for reading, Jo! xo

Oh, I posted it yesterday and said tomorrow which is today (17th) lolol! Did you used to get birthday presents wrapped in xmas paper??? :)

Did you experience the Birxmas thing?
Only a few times. My parents were good about it, too! :)
Yay for us!
It's almost 8 pm there... I hope you had a lovely, lovely birthday.
Sending a biiiiig hug and wishes for Sweetest of Dreams. xo
