I love your story about finding your wonderful home in the mountains! It really does inspire me to also look for signs, follow my intuition and just keep moving forward. Although I live in a lovely home in the Mediterranean, its' time for another adventure and I feel called to move to France. A house there I looked at 3 years ago is now for sale again; maybe it is waiting for me!
here is book i was recommeded but i think it's more you although i have checked a e-version out from the libray and so far find it a spiritually illuminating read: The Bear by Andrew Krivak.
What a beautiful post--and the photos are so wondrous, may put a few in my journal, by painting copies of them. yes, you live in an Eden-like place; I am so thrilled you followed your 6th sense in finding this home; it gives the rest of us hope. Intuition is a quirky thing; I follow dreams and find them unsetting sometimes, still wrapping my head around intuition. Lol1
Thanks for reading, Ben! I feel in some way like I'm honoring this little house and the land around her by writing about them. I just walked down the road and into the Wildlife Sanctuary. I added a photo to show how I'm cradled in the mountains. It was just a 15 minute walk to stand alone in that beauty. Pinching myself now! :)

Love!
I soooo envy you.
Today the yard guys my landlord hired came and, because they were AFRAID to work near a bee hive, they POURED GASOLINE on the hive (ground level)!!!!!!! Right next to my wooden porch and house!!!
I can't take much more evil. This is the guy who has no problem killing as many "bugs" as he can.
Sorry, I'm having a tough time... This post really helps, even though I'm still complaining. :( Sorry for that. But this really does help.
It was lovely to hear about your magical journey. It really does sound magical!
I also live in a little house on a hill ,surrounded by trees ,looking at the mountains. I'm living a stone's throw from where I grew up so I really did come back home. I also feel blessed. My husband enjoyed listening to this post. You have a very calming voice. π»π³β¨
I'm in the Highlands of Scotland. Not far from Ben Nevis.
My husband and I built a little wooden chalet 12 years ago with help from a few friends. We love it. The wildlife is very different here but the scenery is similar. It feels like animals are less fierce here! π
Oh, that's right! Sorry, Kirsty, I forgot. Yes, when I visited Ireland and Scotland it seemed like the only wild animals were the humans! Just kidding. My Irish friend said that. :) I see Scotland in the landscape here every day. I'm still searching for a Hawthorn tree near me. They are pure Magic. π
No worries Barbara. Yes folk can be a bit wild in these parts lol!
We have a few hawthorn trees on the croft. Mostly I'm surrounded by willow and birch. I'm trying to grow veggies and herbs in a small plot next to the house. In that area we have 3 oak trees , an elder, some rowan, wild cherry, a hazel, and a loan hawthorn. I just love spending time there. I do know how lucky I am βΊ
I never tire of hearing the magical story of how you found the Bear Den, Barbaraβ¦ and so enjoyed hearing your voice tell it on the audio π. Once again, I find myself moving yet again to a new house, but not feeling like itβs my βHomeβ. This was such an inspirationβ¦ one of these days, Iβll find my place.
Awww, thank you so much, J.R.! I just added a photo to the post from across the road to show how I'm nestled in the mountain ranges. I still can't believe I'm here. Hope you're feeling more mobile these days! xo

Thank you for your kind words, Jeanne. Paint away! I should be doing that too. One of these days. Yes, intuition can be tricky, that's for sure. π
Oooo, I got goose bumps, Barbara! Thanks for taking me on this journey! β€οΈ
I love goosebumps comments! :) Thanks for reading, Tonika! π

Omg, that is terrible, Jaan. WTH is wrong with people?
Fear, fear, fear; being beaten down, lousy jobs, horrible toxins in the food supply, and sickness caused by all the above...
It's hard work trying to sort out all the nastiness and not be overcome with rage and despair. I'm working hard on it.
Worst comes to worst, I'm pretty sure I can get a cab driver job! Might be fun...
I know your life has been really challenging the past few years, Jaan. Sending you so much love and hope that things settle down soon. xoxo
Thank you, Lovely. You're a shining light. xo xo xo
Magical π so magical!!!! Xoxoxoxox
Thx luv! π‘π»π©·
