Finally getting a bit caught up on my email... This is lovely, as always, you are such a peace maker! It soothes my scattery self and is like a warm pair of socks.... a strange analogy, maybe, but it's cold here, lol. And I do love Pam Gregory, she's a gem. Very interesting video from her, and I just love your photography, and your Way. xo xo Thank you! ^_^
Oh my goodness, thank you Rocket! It's always nice to hear that when it's something that you wonder if it's going to resonate with anyone. š²š²š
Having read this wonderful inviting beauty of an essay, I sincerely hope you never consider again to stop 'rambling' about Nature!
This is a window you open for us readers and it's beyond welcome. Oh my. Love the definitions of solitude VS loneliness. Perfect. You so clearly BELONG exactly where you are, and your words make it clear that as you deepen into Nature and its infinite wonders you deepen into YOU and yours.
It's an honor to read, truly.
"I wonder if the Birds and the Trees and the Rocks are familiar with me now. Are they enjoying or cringing at my singing?" Of course they are! And the skies and the earth and all of it. You're all wrapped up in the same song.
(I know exactly, BTW, what you mean about spring and summer - I have that 'talk' with myself every year to embrace and enjoy it all, rather than count the weeks till Autumn returns. :-)
Thank you for the pic and the light you radiate, Barbara. Precious post.
Ohhhhhhh Barbara, please never stop your ramblings, I adore every word. So often I find myself slipping back into the āreal worldā, šµāš« where my anxiety and fear begin to rise rapidly. Thankfully Iām able to pull myself out of the chaos and get back into the woods where all is well and true. I often find it difficult living in both worlds. I wonder, do you find that too?
Lissa, thank you so much, sweetie! I have to admit that when I hit "Publish" this time I fretted a little that readers would be tired of my walking in the woods ramblings, not to mention that I talk with Trees. :) But, guess what? I'm not alone, am I? As for finding it difficult living in both worlds - I've become so solitary that I'm in "that other world" so infrequently, I'm ok with it. Today is an errand-running day so... :) Happy wandering and thank you so much for taking the time to read my longgg post! š²š²š² XO
That's abundantly clear! I reveled in your descriptions of all the synchronicity in your life... You are in the FLOW, you gorgeous introverted nightingale, you!
I adore every single sentence of this. Every word!!! Spectacular!!!! I KNEW you were doing well in those woods. Healing and breathing and living!!! Barbara, you are glowing sister!!!!!! I couldn't love that picture of you anymore. You look like a 20 year old. Your eyes are smiling. Your spirit is soaring through your physical body!!! Your hair is healthy!!! Ugh!!! So beautiful!!! I'll keep working on that pesky inner voice that pulls me away from the trees - how rude! I hope your errands went ok. xxx
All went well, thank you. Esp hearing that my laptop survived the spilling incident. šš»š©·
Barbara, your spirit shines so brightly throughout this piece; it's refreshing to be in your presence.
I'm amazed (or not?) at the synchronicity of our writing. My next post dovetails with yours sweetly. (Hint -- it's about Nature and a bear.)
Love your work ā¤ļø
Thank you, dear Mary! And, I can't wait to read what you've written. Synchronicity is one of my favorite things in the whole wide world. š»š» š
