FINALLY got to read this... Unusually busy, this dog, and I will note that dogs and bears are kin. ;0)
What a lovely post, I always love reading them. This one, too, charming and sweet. A treat.
I wonder if I have an Animal Guide that isn't a canine? I don't know how to find them... I rarely remember my dreams, or else they vanish almost upon waking. I'm afraid of sharks, maybe that's my Guide, lol.
I just made a batch of my famous scones, Cardamom. I wish I could walk out of MY bear cave, walk through the bears, I mean, through the SNOW, over to your house, and share scones and tea avec toi. That sounds lovely to me! Enjoy your wonderful winter days. xo xo
Thanks, Jaan. I know it's hard to remember our dreams. For some reason, the animal ones really stick with me. Two nights ago, a Lynx crawled through my bedroom window. You can always try asking before you go to bed at night. You just might get an answer.
Yum, those scones sound delicious! So much snow here; it's up to my kitchen windows! xo
I, too, love snow, when I'm not forced to lose income from it!! ;) (Naw, I love it anyway!)
And that's just sad, isn't it? We have to slave away and not really get to enjoy the beauty of the Earth and the seasons, and ... I need a vacation from corporate living. I'd like to retire, but I can't afford to!! I yam shaking my furry head.
Yes, I will try asking for a nighttime visit... or journey... or whatever. I think I have some connection to owls, and maybe to whales. I've just never thought to do that, particularly. But asking for that does work, day or night, so... good idea. ^_^ xo xo
Keep me posted! I have a little owl sitting in my kitchen window. She looks pretty darn real. A couple of months ago, a huge owl flew right past that window and landed in a tree! It was magnificent.I hope you can find some Nature time, Jaan. ox
Thanks, sweet pal. xo Even when I stay in, I can watch the ducks on the pond in front of my house... I have a tiny little owl, too, about an inch tall, and she sits on my counter. :)
...fire away, because we like like your letters about bears and everything else--love the snow photos. exquisite.. and to let you know that upon your comments reg: Eric Maisel, I ended up getting a few of his books on thriftbooks; not sure if they were the ones you had recommended ( think the titles had been changed), but they look good,
A LIFE IN THE ARTS (An Expanded Workbook Edition of Staying Sane in the Arts) and one title which just was intriguing: THE VAN GOGH BLUES: The Creative Person's Path Through Depression. Who doesn't love Van Gogh and who hasn't felt their sadness in his pain? I will l let you know how it goes but I am sure the books will be good reading for a cold winter's night by a fire to inspire.
Thanks, Jeanne! And yes! "A Life in the Arts" was the first book of his I read. LMK how you like the other one! Sweet Dreams, Substack friend! Thx for your support. 🐻 💗
It's been a journey for 🐻 and me. :) And thx for the heads up, Claudia! Fortunately, I have a friend here who always lets me know because I'm never paying attention. ❄️❄️❄️ xo
Thanks for reading, J.R.! The video is working on my end. Not sure what the problem is. I shocked myself by figuring out how to get it downloaded in the body of the post rather than just up top. Hope you're having a Joy-filled day. Any snow there? 🐻
Oh my goodness! Thank you for your kind words, Izabela. I'm going to guess it takes one to know one! :) Much love to you, and thanks for reading/commenting! 🐻 💗
And now im pining for a snow blanket and a crackling fire!
Always! It's just the BEST! XOXO
I finally got to listen to this. Such a heart warming post..... it makes me long for more winter and snow. Oh how I miss you and the bear den.
Aww, thx for listening, Robin! WE miss you, too! xoxo 🐻💗

Urban snow is so exciting for one day. And then the cars ruin it all. :( Thanks, J.R. Same to you!
