New Hampshire is a treasure trove of water bodies coming in all shapes and sizes and each so wonderful! These places of refreshment, pastime and resource are a gift in so many ways, our health and state of mind are fortified, and we are lucky to explore them and experience all they have to offer. Lots of memories surrounding so many beautiful and natural surroundings for which we must be good stewards. Thanks, Barbara for taking us along your journey.
Thank you for sharing, Barbara. Having the privilege to live near or on "lakes" is a blessing, indeed. I have always been grateful for the experience. Speaking of that, we must enjoy these places when we get more than a glimpse of the sun.
I wasnβt born an ocean boy, but I turned into one soon after moving out of the city, to the extent that my day is undeniably impacted if I havenβt had my morning saltwater fix. My hometown of Esperance on the southern coast of Western Australia has some of the whitest and most spectacular beaches in the world... but also some of the coldest with the water coming straight off the Antarctic.
Anyway, thankyou for sharing those lovely lakeside pictures Barbara. I felt the much needed warmth come through the screen.
Oh, Isaac! That sounds spectacular. Thx for reading and sharing. I'd probably only go up to my knees in that cold water but it must be so beautiful. So healing. π¦ The sand, too!
Thank you Beautiful Barbara! This is a true delight! I was happy to read your clear descriptions of the areas in Michigan, and NH, and view your photos! More photos please for all blogs. I grew up at the other end of the country, in south Louisiana.
I'm very familiar with water surrounding me, and love it dearly!
Recently having moved into my new state of Arkansas, I enjoy a variety of lakes within a 10 minute drive from my home, and can walk to one of them. I was told by a park ranger that Lake Ouachita (very close by) is the second cleanest Lake in the USA. It holds magical quartz crystals, and offers an incredibly high energy vibration!
Loved reading this, Barbaraβ¦ we were just up at Lake Leelanau last week! I feel like I am just discovering all the things you wrote about in this blog article π. Spent the day up at Sleeping Bear Dunes last week at a little beach where the Platte River empties into Lake Michigan, the water was so warm and crystal clearβ¦ Iβm sure youβve been there but if not, you would love it there π. Glad I didnβt meet any bears!
You were at Lake Leelanau??? Oh my goodness, Amy! Amazing. :) I was going to include the Dunes and a pic from there but I forgot! Did you drive up to where there's a lookout over a bluff? It's breathtaking! That's my favorite part of the state. My daughter and I went to the Dunes once when there was a full moon. We were alone laying on the sand staring up at the moon. Amazing. I keep forgetting that you live there now! I never encountered a bear in all of my 50 years living there! xoxo
Yes, we did drive up, itβs only 2 1/2 hours from where we live now. We go for Sunsets, havenβt thought to stay for the Moon! Good to know about the bearsβ¦ I think most of them stay in the Northeast of the State.
Oooooooooh!!!!! This oneπ€π€π€π₯°π€π₯° lady!!!! First off.. more pics always please and 2nd ... yes... to all of it. You're speaking MI lake girls language. Sorry about the bite... why it makes me giggle when you say it is beyond me. You convey a humor with disgust at the same time π€£π₯° I love it!!!! Gotta laugh as not to cryπ
Jamie! I had more photos but held back, lol! Hey, Michigan girl - I know you know! So much of my good childhood memories revolve around Lakes! Thanks for reading, my friend! Love you! πππ
