∂¶ƒ≈cv9 io. that is a message that my cat Donny has just written to you (or maybe it was for me I don't know?) I have no idea how to make those symbols myself so pretty clever of him.

yes I am loving the stories and the mixed media, the beauty of writing on substack, audio brings us into your room, photos that were originally printed and physical as well as digital ones, art, gnomes, words , stories and pictures. Beautiful.

P.S. Thanks for noticing all of these nuances, Jo. That the photos are original, etc. Also, the watchful, somewhat crabby gnome has been found (he'd fallen over inside my Yarrow stone circle and was frozen in the snow) and placed on solid ground. I just wanted to let you know in case you or Georgie, or Donny were worried about him. :) xoxo

Thank you Barbara, I have to admit I was a little unhappy thinking of him, creepy or not, covered in snow.

G and D seem to only worry about themselves, each other, mice, squirrels, birds and closed doors.

Thank you to Georgie or Donny! 😂 And thanks for reading and/or listening, Jo. How about that gnome?? 😮 He kinda freaks me out, but evidently, Mama Turtle thought maybe he would guard her eggs. IDK. Lol. 🐢 💗

I think I like him, his long suffering look up and his faithful watering can. On second looks it's not long suffering it's hopeful yet afraid, could he be hoping Mrs Gnome is coming, yet fearful that she isn't.? Or that Mrs Turtle is she? I feel sure he tried to guard the eggs Gnomefully xxx

I feel bad and kind of neglectful. Right now, he's buried in the snow, and I can't find him. :( That look though...

do you feel him watching even though he's buried???

I think we should have a turtle healing ceremony in April or so.

They have endured a lot.

Wisconsin! My son was just there playing in the pond hockey tournament. I love Lake Michigan and have spent many days walking her shores, looking for Petoskey stones. I spent the first almost 49 years living in Michigan before I moved to NY. Enjoy your walks. She is beuatiful in every season.

This weather is beyond wacky. 42 today, 13 tonight. We had a wild thunder/lightning storm and weird rain. Now snow is coming. Wonder what Dane Wigington will have to say this week.

I'm still a Midwesterner at heart. Finding that New Englanders (some, not all) can be a bit aloof. I actually had a friend here who said Midwesterners are too friendly. Okayyyy. Take care, J.R.

HAHAH, thanks, J.R.! Same to you. On my first day here, I pulled up in front of the little post office, and when I got out of my car, I heard a man say, "Better get those license plates changed. People will be a whole lot friendlier to you." 😲 Of course, I understood they didn't want all the city people moving here. It was 2020, after all.
