I’d like to say I see magic everywhere too, although, it’s even more enchanted through your eyes, Barbara. It also comes from your experience of noticing, connecting seemingly disparate nodes of magic to make them even more magical. And to those who don’t see magic at all, or refuse to acknowledge it, I hope that life delivers them the right spell because not only is the unspoken a terrific guide validating intuition, but it’s also waaaaaay more fun. Anyone deriding the magic-seers just comes off as a little miserable. Remember that quote, often misattributed to Nietzsche: “And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.” - well, what a compliment to be considered insane, then!
Oh, so well said, my beautiful friend! I've long let go of worrying that people think I'm insane. :) Magic in my world brings me so much Joy, as I know it does for you, too, Tonika. You immediately popped into my mind when I was leading the two women on their journeys to the Lower World, and the flock of Mourning Doves came into the yard. I love that we have that connection. Maybe the drum drew them here. IDK. Maybe they just wanted to scrounge for some fallen seeds under the bird feeder. It doesn't matter. I believe they know how much I love them and that they are safe here.
I hope your week is filled with Magic, whether it's subtle or full-blown WOW!
Barbara, this was totally captivating. You are such a great storyteller.
I want some magic! but nothing seems to be speaking to me. Probably because I'm not paying close enough attention. Thank you for sharing your experiences anyway. xox
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Ronnie! The Magic is there. Just go out and wander. Or meditate. Lots of Magic happens when you have a regular meditation practice! I am no different than anyone else, but I've somehow been able to harness it, and it has truly changed my life. XOXO
It looks like that snake may be at the start of its shed, with the cloudy eyes. When snakes shed they stop eating, lay low and get even quieter. I needed to hear your message because my creativity has taken a nap as well. Perhaps we are all in a shedding period, to be born again with new shiny sking this Fall.
LMK when you arrive!! My friend, Jamie (her comment is below), lives in Michigan. We met last summer for the first time after being Instagram friends for many years. This crazy internet has some blessings.
I get the snake thing. Honestly, my animal dreams have a way of taking away my fear in real life, except for mice. I DO NOT want a mouse dream.
What a magical post Barbara, thank you, and your marvellous photo of the black snake in the crevice with her opaque eyes suggesting that she is now into the process of shedding her skin once again....absolutely gorgeous - and another message. To live the magical life, following our impulses, seeing the confirmations in the natural world around us, giving us encouragement to stay on the invisible path laid out for us (by us) for which we must have trust, since it has nothing to do with linearity or predictability, and is the very creative process itself, yes, this is truly living and what makes life worth living indeed. I love your naming trees for your soul friends as well! Give my love to the natural world that surrounds you and much love to you ❣️
I don't even know what to say - reading this was like being immersed in a magical realm. None of it surprised - the world will reflect magic for you, Barbara, no doubt. We lucky readers get to see the reflection too, if from a refracted distance.
I fully related to the energies bit and the weird exhaustion. Big changes in the heavens. Been interesting listening to people who track the Sun's activities and CME's, and Schumann resonance, along with astrologers. Sort of like looking at a kaleidoscopic image and then turning it a little. (Even though I could never repeat what they say coherently, the astrologers make the most sense of it for me.) 🌟🌟🌟
My sense is the embedded oneness that was separated out and quantified in our materialistic world - demystifying everything (as if) - is falling away and the mystery is simply presenting itself again. Fortunately some - like you - are already living that deeper, more connected reality.
So fortuitous for your readers. We get to feel those frequencies and some will even be 'activated' in our own personal fields by them. A real ripple effect.
Thank you, lovely Barbara, for sharing and doing what you do. You're a gift.
Thank YOU for this beautiful interpretation, Kathleen! I try so hard to understand astrology, but mostly it goes in one ear and out the other. I really do feel an amping up of the Magic and all of the clairs. I know that you know...
I could cry!!!!! The is the absolute best!!!!! Yes!!!! Magic 💫💫💫💫💫💫💗 Love and Magic!!!! The photo of the snake is awesome!!!! I used to be afraid of them. I'm not any longer. What a dreamy Post!!!! 🍃🍂🌲🕊🦌 P.S. it's dusk 🤗🤗 sweetest dreams 🦁💖 xoxoxoxoxoxo, Jamie Lynn
Oh, Jamie, you always make me feel better after publishing one of these out-there posts. :) Yay for dark early bedtimes again!!! Love you, my beautiful friend. XOXO
I can see the spirit of that prankster Hermes in Black Snake's eyes!
Last week would have been around the time of the New Moon, which initiated Eclipse Season (Eclipses being caused by the Hidden Serpent in the Sky in Eastern Traditions) which will be happening in your 5th Virgo House of Creativity... so I think you just had your initiation?

You are so loved... XOXO
Wow! So cool, so wonderful!
I love reading your posts, and listening, also, but reading them is just... lovely.
And it's so good to know you are a Deer Friend... ;) xo xo xo
Thanks, Jaan! I'm so glad you are enjoying them! XO

Yes! When I got home and looked closer at the photos, I saw the eyes. I felt bad...probably disturbed him or her with my fussing and picture-taking.
Yes, let's hope our creativity comes roaring back with fresh new ideas. Mine usually perks up in Vata Season. Thanks for reading, Josie! XO
That’s it Barbara, I’m moving to the East Coast! I can’t find anyone in the Midwest who wants to go on Magic’s drumming journeys with me 💛
p.s. I don’t like snakes in general but this one intrigued me…

Hi Isaac! Thx for weighing in. It was Tuesday the 19th, which I think was a few days before the new moon?? It's all so very interesting!
What a great tie-in, Isaac. Love that.
