I’m not sure when my love affair with the post office began, but when I was young, like many people from my generation, sending and receiving mail was a big deal.
Fast forward many decades, and I lived in NYC, several blocks from the post office that abutted the World Trade Center. I used to love walking there or riding my bike and waiting on line (New Yorkers say on line, not in line. IDK why but they do!) Granted, that sounds strange - who loves waiting on/in a line?
I do! It gives me time to observe people, chill from rushing around, and practice being in the moment.
Needless to say, I never have to wait on or in line now that I live in the country.
As an artist, I’ve loved sending mail art and cards that I would print from my photos.
I’ve been mulling this over for a long time and have finally decided to offer my photo cards for sale. This might turn out to be a limited offer kind of thing. We shall see.
I’m a one-person operation here, and these cards are all me (and my temperamental printer), from taking the photos to printing them, cutting them, and wrapping them, often with little Nature bits or other surprises. I really do love making them.
There is zero AI involved here!
The square cards are roughly 5 1/2” x 5 1/2” and are printed on satin photo card stock. You can request matte if you would prefer. They come with a sturdy recycled brown kraft envelope. I may add other sizes, but for now, I’m starting with the square cards.
I’ve struggled with what to charge because these are original art, not mass-produced cards. I’ve decided on $40.00 for a package of five cards, plus $5.00 flat shipping in the US.. If you’re international, please reach out, and I will figure out how to ship it to you and what the cost would be.
Here are the first two offerings.
Trees that I love or have loved in the past. From Scotland and Ireland to Michigan and New Hampshire. My love of trees has no bounds.

And photos of my artwork:

I have made links through Substack/Stripe if you want to purchase the cards that way.
I also have a Venmo account where you can order and pay directly: BarbaraSinclair11.
And, I love to do things old school, so you can always email me directly at barbarasinclair11@protonmail.com to place an order and snail mail me a check. :)
I have so many photos to choose from and ideas for many different packs. If you have favorite images from any of my posts, reach out to me and I will be happy to make up a special pack for you!
Just in case you’re interested, your snail mail photo cards will be mailed from one of these post office gems:
How lucky am I?
I guess it’s a sign of something positive when you love your own artwork! Even though I’m not a photographer - just an artist who loves to take photos - I still love looking at my pictures. I hope you do, too!
Much Love,
Barbara

What a fabulous idea!! I've just been going through some of your previous posts and coming across some of the photos that I really loved. And now I find that it's almost too hard to choose!
I will narrow it down and get back to you.
Some of my favorites are the water photos, the river and streams, the lily pad with 3 pads, and the orange pink sky. Anyway, I have more browsing to do. Later. XOX
